ISO 14064 GHG Quantifying & Reporting
ISO 14064-1:2018 is a valued investment in any business. The standard is recognized globally and can focus an organization towards quantifying and improving their greenhouse gas emissions and removals, as well as that of their supply chain and any contractors used.
Using ISO 14064-1:2018 can benefit any size and type of organization by providing the framework to examine and record their GHG emissions across the entire business, covering scopes 1, 2 and 3. There is also a new Scope 4 emerging that is a new voluntary metric for avoided emissions and provides a much more detailed and comprehensive insight into the impact of carbon emissions. Leading companies are now reporting Scope 4 alongside Scope 3.
This ISO standard can be used in harmony with other GHG and carbon emission verification frameworks (e.g. PAS 2060, PAS 2080, ISO 14064-1 & ISO 14068-1) by providing a recognized, auditable process of the quantification process to produce an accurate total of the organization’s GHG emissions. Whilst not a standard that an organization is certified to, it can be independent verified against to give reassurance that your GHG accounting has been performed using an internationally recognized methodology.
